Somatic Healing

Yoga, Breathwork, and Movement

Service Description

Somatic healing works with the body to release stored trauma, tension, and emotional residue that talking alone can’t always reach. Simply put, trauma is usually catalyzed by our thoughts, which are energy, that then gets stored in the body. This is why many people who have trauma end up with mysterious autoimmune issues that they cannot pinpoint physically. Through gentle movements, awareness practices, and breath, you’ll begin to reconnect with your body’s innate wisdom. Sessions create safety for your nervous system, helping you release what has been held and cultivate resilience. Expect to leave feeling more grounded, embodied, and free. ✨ What to Expect: You may sit, lie down, or move gently depending on the focus of the session. I will guide you into noticing sensations in the body, helping you safely process and release held energy. Each session is gentle, supportive, and paced at your comfort level. What it is & why it’s helpful: Somatic healing uses body awareness, breath, movement, and felt experience to release trauma and chronic tension that the mind alone can’t process. It re-teaches the nervous system safety and aliveness. Step-by-step journey: Safety Check & Intention: The session begins with a trauma-informed intake: current state, boundaries, and safe words/signals. I emphasize consent and pacing. Grounding Practices: Gentle breathwork, orientation to the room, and micro-movements help you arrive in your body. Felt Exploration: I guide attention to sensations (tightness, heat, cold) and invite gentle movement, sounds, or micro-adjustments to shift stuck patterns. Release & Resourcing: As sensations move, you’re anchored with soothing resources — grounding objects, visualizations, or touch patterns — to prevent overwhelm. Integration: I help translate somatic shifts into daily practices (movement anchors, breath cues, rituals) to stabilize change. Closing: Brief debrief, concrete next steps, and time to rest. What clients feel & practical details: Expect to feel sensations, shifts in posture, emotional release, or unexpected clarity. Sessions can be active or quiet. Duration: 60–90 minutes. Best for folks ready to work in the body rather than only the story.
